ASCP ALICE SPRINGS TO COOBER PEDY

9 to 22 May 2026 - completed

Next ASCP provisionally May 2028

Ride 900km across the heart of Central Australia. This is 'remote riding' at its best, a small-group, 14-day, all-gravel, all-camping, adventure from Alice Springs to Coober Pedy.

  • Old Andado Track

  • Western Simpson Desert

  • Finke River Floodplain and forest

  • Mt Dare 'Hotel'

  • Witjira NP and Dalhousie Hot Springs

  • Old Ghan Railway ruins

  • Oodnadatta

  • Painted Desert

  • Moon Plain

From 2004 to 2011 Outbike ran 2 or 3 of these rides annually. We brought it back in 2025 with 2 rides. Note that our 2025 and 2026 riders did find this route to be tough and challenging! Be ready for some sandy bits.

Cost in 2026 was $5000.
